saturday afternoon ministry

The Saturday Afternoon Ministry is available at no charge for any in our community who are in need. Meals, hot showers, and clothing are available each week.  At a time when many are struggling to find even the basic needs of life, we offer this ministry in Jesus' name. 

There are many ways in which you can serve on the teams. Contact Pastor Brian for information.

Meals

Each week, teams of volunteers serve a balanced meal provided by donations of menu items and monetary support.  

Meals are served from 2:00pm - 3:00pm in the CLC

Hot Showers

The Shower Ministry offers hot showers every Saturday to those who have no regular access to shower facilities. Individual stalls are available for men and women. Personal care items are available periodically.

Generous volunteers provide the supplies and launder the towels. We gladly accept monetary donations, towels, soap, shampoo, other hygiene items, socks, and underwear.

 

Donations may be dropped off at the CLC on Saturdays,  at the church office Tues - Fri 9am - 3pm, or on Sundays in the Foyer.

Showers are offered 1:00pm - 2:00pm in the CLC.

Clothing

The Clothing Ministry provides for the distribution of gently used clothing to anyone in need. Items needed are tennis shoes, mens/ladies jeans, jackets, hooded sweatshirts and M/L T-shirts

Donations may be dropped off at the FLC on Saturdays, or on Sundays in the Foyer.

Micah Mission

The goal of the Micah Mission is to establish a full-time, service-based Christian Day Mission offering the Lompoc area's marginalized and homeless population a place that is dedicated to their unique situation. Read more
