Few churches are able to sustain a viable men's ministry.  Trinity men's ministry wants to create an environment that is sustainable and that energizes and motivates men to be the spiritual leaders in their families, their church and the Lompoc community.

The following are some thoughts on the purposes for developing this many important ministry here at Trinity:

-  To help get and keep men in a close fellowship with God, hearing and obeying Him in all areas of their lives, while calling men into the passionate pursuit of God and enabling them to reproduce that pursuit in others.

-  To help men more fully discover who they are in Christ without giving up the true masculine heart as God meant it to be.  In many cases enabling men to get that heart back.  ("And God created man in His own image..." Gen 1:27; "The Lord is a warrior..." Ex 15:3)

-  To understand and help others to understand that under God's Control, masculine traits such as risk taking, aggressiveness, adventure, accomplishment, heroic sacrifice, and action are all perfectly okay and even desirable within the church.

-  To develop networks of support, encouragement and accountability through the building of strong friendships united around common missions. ("As iron sharpens iron, a friend sharpens a friend."  Prov 27:17)

-  To equip men to stand up to our culture and say enough is enough and start taking ground back that has been surrendered to our culture and to Satan over the past decades in our lives, families, church, and community.  ("Put on the armor of God for the battle."  Eph 6:10-18)

-  To draw our teens into close fellowship with Christian adult men by including them in men's ministry well before they graduate from high school.  Statistics show the 90+% of young people drop out of church after high school.

-  To develop strong ties with our children and student ministries, providing helpers, role models and mentors.  In particular come alongside boys as role models and mentors.  The only way boys are going to gain genuine masculinity and become quality men, being free to move as God directs, is by putting them in and keeping them in the company of Christian men as early as possible.  Women cannot do this job.  God didn't equip them for this purpose.
